About Us
Back in the early summer of 1998, Jim Ferrarie and his family were traveling out to their summer home in Mattituck (the “heart of the North Fork wine country”) when Jim was struck with inspiration. Not only is the North Fork of Long Island one of the most beautiful areas in New York State, but the North Fork has some of the best wineries in the region. Why weren’t there tours offered to people that would take them to the different wineries to taste the wonderful wines and show people how the wine was made?
It was then that Jim started Long Island Wine Tours, LLC.
For over twenty years, James Ferrarie and Long Island Wine Tours, has given thousands of people a positive and successful touring experience. Our customers sit k, relax, and enjoy the beautiful Long Island landscape while we do the driving. We will pick you up at any location and safely drive you to and from the wineries (..with one of our many luxury vehicles). You are brought to three of North Fork’s Premier Vineyards, where you sample the BEST wine in our region.
Your day can last about six to nine hours with many surprises in between your tastings. Entertainment at the vineyards such as jazz or folk bands are included in our summer weekend trips. Enjoy a delicious hot or cold buffet lunch while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Long Island. We can accommodate groups from 2 to 200 and we are here to provide individual service and cater to all your needs. You have the option to pick vegetables, pumpkins, or stop at the famous Briermere Farms for a delicious dessert to bring home. We want to set up the perfect wine tour for you, your family, and your friends. We do everything from Birthdays, Anniversaries, and even Corporate Outings. We handle it all… which will provide you with a fun-filled memory of your tour with us. We like to raffle prizes and give you complimentary gifts, too.
