Bedell Cellars is a 35-year-old sustainably farmed and family owned estate vineyard and winery on the North Fork of Long Island. Cementing Bedell’s reputation as the premiere producer from the Long Island winegrowing region, the New York Times proclaimed “Bedell has consolidated its status as a world-class estate” and Wine Business Monthly named Bedell to its list of the Top 10 Hottest Small Brands in the world. Bedell’s flagship red blend, Musée, received 91 points from Wine Spectator, the highest score this publication has ever awarded to a red wine from Eastern North America. Bedell’s tasting room, a historic barn built in 1919 that once overlooked potato fields, was named one of the top 25 tasting rooms in America by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

Bedell has been owned since 2000 by Michael Lynne, an esteemed art collector and film executive who produced The Lord of the Rings trilogy among many others, and the winery is led by 30-year veteran winemaker Rich Olsen-Harbich. With its critically acclaimed Artist Series, dynamic management team, and some of the oldest grapevines in the region, Bedell exists at the forefront of creativity and excellence in the modern American wine industry.

Bedell wines are made from grapes that they grow themselves on three vineyard sites totaling approximately 80 planted acres: Bedell Home Vineyard on the Main Road in Cutchogue behind the winery and tasting room; Corey Creek Vineyards on Main Road in Southold, adjacent to the Corey Creek tasting room; and Wells Road Vineyard on Main Road in Peconic.

Visitors can enjoy the open expanse of Bedell’s mahogany pavilion with sweeping views of their vineyards and lush gardens. You can also view owner Michael Lynne’s contemporary art collection in the Tasting Room, showcasing the original commissioned works featured on Bedell’s Artist Series wine labels.

Experience the intimacy of their loft area, with its vaulted ceilings and fireplace, and viewing windows into the barrel aging cellar.

The Bedell Cellars tasting room is open year round, seven days a week. From Sunday – Thursday it is open 11am-5pm. Friday and Saturday it is open 11am-7pm. It is closed for New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Corey Creek tasting room is open May – November, seven days a week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday is it open 12pm-9pm for the Twilight series. Sunday and Wednesday it is open 12pm-5pm. Friday and Saturday it is open 12pm-7pm. Reservations are advised for both tasting rooms.
